Message from the Chief Executive Officer

Welcome to the Malaysian College of Hospitality & Management (MCHM) website, we hope that this website will give you an overview of what Malaysian College of Hospitality & Management is all about and inspire you to contact our staff to provide details and answers for all your inquiries.

A higher education offers students more than just a body of knowledge or an area of expertise. In a life of continuous learning, a higher education cultivates student’s creativity, problem solving and leadership skills, which is vital in the success of their future careers. Therefore, at MCHM, we are dedicated to giving you a vibrant and refine learning atmosphere to cultivate not only the all-important academic excellence but also the equally crucial hands on practical and communication skills. To many of our students, attending college is a dream come true, not only for themselves, but for their families as well. Once on campus, we encourage our students to explore not only the myriad academic offerings in our classrooms, but also other possible opportunities to obtain a holistic education through recreational activities, industrial training, field trips, and various student development programs. We seek to nurture our students in order to produce great thinkers with skills to die for.

We constantly recognize the capabilities and potential of our students, who come from a variety of backgrounds. Although challenging, we take it upon ourselves to groom the students to be the best versions of them which will be a great boost for them once they set about in the industry. Our focus remains on developing a level of competence, confidence and knowledge in our students with global exposure and a futuristic mind-set, one that will not only help to upgrade the quality of their lives but also greatly contributes to the nation. In pursuit of our vision to be the leading institution in the Asian region delivering consistent quality education, we have established a state of the art campus in Bandar Dato’ Onn, Johor Bahru, which was inaugurated by our Menteri Besar, who was then the Education Minister Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Khalid Bin Nordin on 11 June 2011.

In these coming years, MCHM aims at playing a fundamental role in the development of human capital for the rapidly growing hospitality and tourism industry. We maintain a close relationship with the industry to make available ready-to-employ students with optimum communication skills. Employability is the distinctive feature of MCHM, where students are educated and are equipped with skills that are in line with industrial expectations. Thus, making MCHM graduates the preferred choice for employment.
Once again, we welcome you to our college and wish you all the best in your future undertakings.

Yours sincerely,

Noor Haslina Binti Harun
